FEMA and State Housing SearchesFederal Housing Search

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) provides an online housing portal for people displaced by a disaster to use to search for housing. The portal provides a place to look for rental properties.

The FEMA housing portal can be found at:
http://asd.fema.gov/inter/hportal/home.htm

The portal uses information from multiple federal departments to put rental properties in once place. FEMA recommends that if you find a property you think might fit you or your household’s needs to call the number listed first to see if it is still available before traveling to see the place. The information in the portal is updated regularly, but there is a chance something has been rented and not removed from the site.

A website for the state of Delaware lists houses for sale and for rent. This site is available to users all year round – not just after a disaster.
